Dasyu-Three Hyenas"So, these are the Outlands?" Dasyu looked around at the dead trees, ignoring the grainy sand under his pads.
"Yes. There is less food and little water here, but we make way with what we can." Carami held her head high, her ears perked forward as her red eyes scanned the wasted land before her.
The smell of a dead animal hit Dasyu's nose, and it didn't smell very pleasant, "What is that smell, mother?"
Carami smelt the air carefully and then smiled darkly, "Looks like we are just in time. The pride has found some food it seems." She started across the flat land, the sand not seeming to bother her.
Dasyu quickly followed after her, not wanting to get left behind. He looked around at his new surroundings in wonder, "Mother, why is this land so different from the grassy Pride Lands?"
Carami kept walking, not looking back at her son who was getting a bit behind, "Because they just are." She had no intention on telling Dasyu why the lands were really like this until he was older and not as
Her CatalystAs she walks through the maelstrom, the words trace upon the tips of her fingers and press into the stone. Every brick, every crack in the concrete, every crossed and angular stroke in reds and blacks and oranges. The drips of the gasoline pool around the base of her boots, slosh as she steps over the burst pipes and the rubble.
